I would like to introduce myself.
I have always (since I can remember) been interested in food end cooking. Since I was a little girl, you could find me in the kitchen. What started as helping out my grandmother or mother, turned out to experimenting and making up recipes.
As a teenager I cooked regularly and discovered cookbooks, following recipes and trying new things.
And then I discovered Baking! It all started with an instant cakemix, but I soon noticed that I found the more complicated recipes more interesting. I started to write my own recipes and I still do.
When my Friends and Familie started to ask me about my recipes, I wanted to share all of my experiments, recipes and discoveries! Soon this became a big project and it meant the start of my Dutch blog. Now, 5 years later, I would like to build up my online platform, so my followers who do not speak Dutch can enjoy my blog as well!
I will go on with my blog ‘Emma’s Food Festival!’ A blog full of my tastiest recipes, but also food facts, my favorite products and many more!
You only have one body and I think you need to take care of that! But you only live once and I love tasty food, so I think it important to enjoy life!
I try to eat a natural as possible. I try not to eat refined sugars and try to avoid additives. Also I prefer organic food.
I think we need to go back to where it all started. Freshly cooked, unrefined, no additives and organic food.
I think it is sad that we proces food so much. A lot of sugar, additives and salt is added, which is very unhealthy for our bodies.
Quick, long shelf life and easy are words I do not like when it comes to food.
Varied food, I believe that is the best. Because your body needs all the nutrients, but also because you enjoy eating more if you do not eat the same food every singel day.
If you decide to go for something sweet, make it yourself! This is not healthy, but sometimes you need to enjoy right!?
Bake something, have a piece, and share with your friends and family.
I hope to motivate and inspire to cook tasty and healthy food. Even when you worked all day and you come home tired.
You do not need to cook for hours to make a freshly cooked, tasty meal full of nutrients. There are a lot of tasty and quick recipes you can cook. For me cooking is also mindful, relaxing after a long and stressful day of work.
I hope to make you all happy with my happy, creative, tasty and home cooked food.
